Anyone here uses a BR-8 Digital recorder? It uses a Zip disk.
Anyone would like to co-write stuff together? (meaning, you could record the guitar, mail the zip, I can record the bass, mail the zip, you can record the blah blah)
I play bass, acoustic guitar, drums, sing, keys. I write elliot smith, radiohead, pixies, artrock.
rock over london, rock on chicago Why the Hell would you use the color 'beige' for your text? |

I've got one and love it. It's not really designed for doing anything more than demos, but I've done full band albums on it.
As cool as it sounds dude, I'm too busy already!

I got my Roland digital recorder years ago and wish it was as compact as that baby.
It's a great idea though Kirk.
I'm kind of up to my neck too :(

I've got a BR-8 sitting right next to me.
I keep bumping my elbow on it.
You could mail me a zip if you'd like.
It could be a fun thing.
I've recorded roughly nine or ten full-length albums on it.
It really belongs to my cousin. |

Don't own a BR-8, though I'm currently borrowing a Yamaha Audio Workstation 16 (8 mono tracks + 4 stereo tracks). It has tons of cool features, including the ability to import/export .cda and .wav files via CD-RW. I'm using it for recording my first album and for transferring hours of cassette recordings to PC. Of course, the AW16 records exclusively at 44.1k/16 bit and the mic preamps pretty much suck, but I much prefer a 20 gig hard disk over zips.
The song at my webspace was recorded on a BR-8. |

That BR-8 is the kind of thing I'm looking for. How much do they go for? |

I have heard of replacing the 100mb zip drive with a 250, but has anyone changed (or heard of changing) the zip drive with a card-file reader or an USB. I would really like some input...Thanks |

It was really easy switching the 100 to 250 zipdrive. A plug-and-play sort of thing where the machine instantly recognized the new drive.
That's a good question though. |

How do I get the Br-8 software to covert to.wav with more than just TWO Tracks? Anyone here have the same problem? |
