State three things about yourself: two truths and one line. The next person guesses which is the lie. You post back and say what's what.
To start:
• I speak seven languages • I have seven tattoos • I have seven dollars in my wallet right now
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Catholics |

So do we have to wait until kathryn gives the right answer? Until she gives MORE RULES, I'll go on. Floop, I think you're lying about owning George Clooney's old bike. Californians don't have bikes. They have Hummers.
• I nearly got ran over by a car 2 days ago while riding my bike • Going to work by car would take me twice as long as going by bike • I've never owned a car

Though one Denis. Knowing Paris a little, the three are all VERY believable. I'd say you lie about living in Niue ! |

Kathryn does not speak seven languages, Floop does not own George Clooney's bike, Denis did not nearly get run over.
- I've seen Tanya Donnelly play with Robyn Hitchcock - I've seen Kristin Hersh play with Martin McCarrick - I've seen Kim Deal play with Bruce Cockburn

Hi, boys.
I do not have a single tattoo.
Floop once hit a bicyclist (and still feels terrible about it(.
Denis almost got run over the other day by a driver (who was not floop).
Simon has not seen Kim Deal play with Bruce Cockburn.
Next!

Everyone's wrong about me. I did almost get run over by a SUV. OK, I started it all by giving it a punch, but I was pissed off and it was blocking my way.

Despite not being able to drive I've already owned 3 cars
I cannot walk and drink at the same time
I was kicked out of art school for having an affair with my sculpture lecturer

you're wrong with me. believe it or not, i actually own George Clooney's old bike. not that i could ever prove it (or that it matters). a guy i worked with was good friends with someone who worked on ER for years. at the end of the show, Clooney gave this guy his bike that he used to ride around set in. later on this guy passed away, and he left all his stuff to my friend (including some Harleys) because he didn't have much family. then my friend was clearing out his garage and decided to get rid of the bike, and gave it to me.
i also did hit a bicyclist once

I don't think Nic has owned three cars. Maybe two, maybe four, not three. The other two sound about right...
Kathryn was right about me, btw, that was rubbish.

I'm glad I wasn't totally wrong about something, Cheesey. I am still red with shame for screwing up my own damned thread.
Here is the lie in your thread:
You do not own a book by that harlot, Delia Smith. You don't need her to teach you a thing about cooking.
Floop, a photo of the bike, please.
Surfer, you totally fucked your way out of art school and you have owned three cars, despite not knowing how to drive. But you can simultaneously walk and drink because you've had oodles of practice drinking.
CDs in my collection:

Ach Kathryn, you don't own Pod.
You're right about Delia, but don't knock her. Unfailable recipes, that's what they are. But yes, I don't need her help.

Kathryn and Cheeseman you are both WRONG!
Yes I have owned 3 cars despite being unable to drive and yes, I cannot drink and walk at the same time. It drives my mates crazy.
But the lie was that I was kicked out of art school for having an affair with my sculpture lecturer. (Though I will admit to some tampering with his gorgeous young assistant)

Cheesey, you are right. My secret shame is I don't own Pod.
Brian, or should I say "Sal" or "Bunga," no one's ever called you "Busta"

I've got other stories that make up for it Kathryn.

This is too easy. You've never seen the Allman Brothers in concert. You were sick that day.

and you've never seen the bay city rollers.

Me, too, Carolynanna! Me, too!
(puts face in hands and squeals)
And several Allman Bros. shows. (I blame my husband.)
But *sob* never The Clash.
Busta, huh? I like that. It's kinda sexy in a low-IQ way, which I like in a man.
No Mike Watt autographed poster on your wall?
Um, Denis, you did not almost get run over. Is that the lie?

K, you don't have 2 siblings. Brian, you didn't eat a pumpernickel bagel, cause "pumpernickel" is a word you've just invented.
- There are naked pictures of me on the net - I can lick my nose (well, the end of it) - I like grilled grasshoppers

Denis, my French friend, next time you are driving down from Montreal, I will feed you a pumpernickel bagel. For now, much on a virtual one:
I've seen the naked pix (!) and I will guess that you can lick your nose but you don't like grilled grasshoppers.
Brian, Gen. Tso's chickent's too heavy a meal for the middle of the day. You had a bagel and a sandwhich.
Lastly, I have two siblings.
Today I
went to a ballet class shovelled snow swung on the swings at the playground

Nah, you can't sing Tree.
I can play piano to a pretty high level, enough for the odd concert in my past I can DJ to a reasonable level, enough for parties. I can use one of those big mixing desks in recording studios, enough to record a track.
