floop, I sincerely apologize if I have offended you with what I intended to be harmless humor. I can see you are a sensitive, thoughtful young man, who takes seriously his civic responsibilities as a member of our diverse republic, and I again apologize if my attempts at humor and light banter have caused you offense or harm.

Oh...I am so sorry if you thought my post was in response the stereotypes and minutemen discussion. I meant to quote KOK's definition of MILF. I thought that was funny.
i wasn't refering to you. MILFs are very fortunate people, and i feel fortunate that they're around |

On second thought, I retract my apology and wish to say that mosleyk has greatly offended me by not knowing what the term MILF means. As a mother, I find her post offensive and wish it to be known that no one in a free society is helped when such stereotypes are perpetuated.

Okay, you're right, touchy subject matter. Why can Leno get away with it? I'm (at least) ten times funnier than that late night unfunnyman.

i get the sense that you're being facetious, as usual..
i don't feel "harmed".. i just think comments like that are veering towards lame. i'm sure you're a nice person and love peoples of all cultures, but yeah, i think comments like that are uncool.
maybe i'm wrong. are there any Mexican American members who found the car wash comments really funny? |

Let us not blame one another. Let us blame google. Because that's one of the images that it spat out when I searched.
P.S. Leno is not funny.

Our posts crossed, floop. I was being facetious but I do apologize if I offended anybody. The fact is, the economy of a good chunk of the US would collapse were it not for (mostly illegal) workers of Mexican origin. I don't know why it should offend to reference that albeit with my usually lame jokes (I'm no KOK. His jokes always kill.) And for the record, in case mosleyk thought I was seriously offended, yes I am a mom, no I was not offended. Guess what? I have not had dinner yet tonight. I was thinking I'd eat some crow!

Good to know. And the print on the couch, that's pretty. Nice shade of blue and a cool cosmic motif.

I hope the pillow's still there. That looks like a good spot to lay your head for a nap. A nice firm pillow's a good thing, you know.

Yes, that's just one of tha many Mexcican American immigrants I've dated. Amazing story really. In Mexico her mom had to get a birth certificate from a baby that had died and changed her daughters name to match it. She remembers them throwing her over the fence down in Arizona. Once they got here her mom worked the fields. Eventually her mom married the guy that runs the fields and they do real well.

That's an inspirational story, KOK. My good friend remembers walking all the way from south of the border to Santa Maria. He's literally a millionaire now.
Floop, the sig is an honor which I do not deserve.

Her musical tastes were actually pretty good. She liked some good stuff. We had her roomate with us one night and we were on our way to see Napoleon Dynamite when Christina came on. They both wanted it turned way up but particularly her roomate. right then a tear ran down my cheek. Much like that American Indian from that commericial about polution from the early seventies.

There you go again, perpetuating stereotypes about the diverse people who make up our republic, KOK!

How about writing about what you ate tonight?
I had First Barbecue Of Summer, including sausages, steak and salmon.

what's wrong with stereotrypes? as long as they make a laugh i'm cool with them and so should be the "victims". because every victim of a stereotype will sooner or later laugh with someone else's. just be cool, accept and reply in the same tone. and tonight i made some suvlaki without brutalizing it to some dumd tortilla or cazzadilla kind of crap. talking about italians that lost their way. a real italian would never, ever try to experiment in kitchen. stick with your tradition as lord commands. capisci l'antifona? heh
