So I was sondering with all the re-success of the current Pixies' tours and music will there be no more Breeders now for sure? Sorry but the collective that made the newest Breeders was stellar and created an amazing, actually very unique and newer sound. I really want them to still be around. If not then I will make my own Breeders cover band!
on to somewhere near and far in time |

They will be back.
Shouldn't this be in General Chat though?

Yeah, probably. "Off Topic:" in the title probably means it belongs in the 'off topic' section.

For sure you will see the Breeders rise again. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing them live, but it is high on the things-to-do list.
Bring back the Breeders, or give me the Amps. I wanna hear Kim sing 'Bragging Party'. |

They are about the one band left that I have never seen, that I still could, that I still really want to. I could still see Blondie, but I think they lose a little now with the way that Debbie looks nowadays. Especially after seeing her dressed as a biker dyke last night in Spun.

She sure was one sexy girl. Definately a big part of blondie's appeal to me. They had a song or two up their sleeves, but Debbie Harry.. Wow!
You gotta love biker dykes. never met one, but i bet i'd love her just the same.
Unless the Pixies play songs like 'Letter to Memphis' or 'Dig for Fire' this year, i'll stay more excited about seeing the Breeders than this years Carling. |

I look forward to both with great relish.
And Blondie had way more than "a song or two up their sleeves".

in my opinion the pixies reformation was only ever going to be a money spinner, they'll be back to their day jobs sooon enough till they need more beer money...and im thankful that they do! but im looking forward to the return of all the breeders, magicians, martinis and catholics
I wish i had a wooden heart that i could set on fire... |

zub's been making the rounds, FBC. We love zub!
Pixies, Breeders...sure, sure. Good. Martinis. Great. But bring back the Catholics!

Didnt they do a video that was modeled after the old Iron Man video by Sabbath? I've only seen it once and thought it was really cool. What was the song? |

They have a song called Metal Man (which would fit your description), but I've never seen a video for it. |

I've never seen the Breeders live. They came to Paris in 2002 I think, but I didn't go cause they played in a crappy venue that I boycott. I hope they'll put out a new album and tour. On another note, I bought Blondie's first LP last week and it's great.

i think 'show me your tears' is a great album, still listening to it. But Black Letter Days may be my favorite of the bunch. |

I saw the breeders when they and the Melvins opened for Nirvana. It was that much before Kurt shot himself. The energy was wierd that night...like waiting for a shoe to drop. The breeders spent half their set tuning their guitars. Kurt just hide behind the microphone and sang barely moving.
I would really love to see them again now that everyone is older and wiser. |

Is it really, darwin? Do you say that with a professional/ scientific knowledge or from personal experience? I sense a physical... I don't know if ....elasticity is the word, but that's outta here for me.

I am relatively young (27), and I might be able to get enough Catholics, if I were forced to listen to them non-stop for three full days. Otherwise, probably not.

No scientific knowledge. Just anecdotal evidence based on your advanced age and propensity to double post.
My memory has been shot since I was about 20. It's a good thing I have wife or I would have no memory of the past 10 years (except for baseball, I remember baseball). It's great when she reminds me of the cute things our kid did 5 years ago. |
