All of this talk about cliques reminded me that it's kind of a cool word.
1. I am a fsh with no i's.
2. You must be wearing Zubaz, 'cause you're daring to be different.
3. I am a man with 3 fingers...but that doesn't count my index finger nor my thumb. |

Clever title Cali. I bet most people here don't appreciate just how clever it is. I guess you and I can have our own 'Appreciate Cali's Cleverness' clique.

the English spell everything. Not to mention the
Aussies and Canadians, et al.

Do you Brits really spell it "kerb" and not '"curb"?
I can (somewhat) overlook those silly Us you
insert in words (color = colour) etc. but an outright
re-creating of a word (as from curb to kerb) really
throws me off.
Not that I'm blaming anybody.

But Americans spell "clique" and "queue" the same way the Brits do, right? The latter word isn't used as much in American English, but when we do use it, it has the same spelling.
I used to think "clique" was kind of a cool word, but then I learned what it actually meant, and I lost my fondness for it.

v. squirting liquid (including saliva) through the teeth; less commonly, squirting saliva directly from the saliva glands or expelling liquid through the sinuses.

I remember my friends and I were leaning over this balcony at an auditorium one time, and they were "gleePing", and I was just looking around, and then this group of old ladies straight below us look up, and they start pointing at me, and I look around and my "friends" are nowhere to be seen. So...I just played it cool.
