i'd like to appologise to every one on the forum. when i was setting up my account I was with a friend, trying to show him how to sign up I made my username 'black-francis_' thinkin that someone was bound to have already taken that name, and i could go back and choose another. to my horror, this was not the case and through my stupidity i am left with a username which makes me look like a fool and a wannabe. both of which i am, but with a different username i could have been more hidden. so sorry if i offended, or just pissed off anyone here.

the thing i resent the most is that you have an extra space after your name _ making it look asymmetrical. if there's anything that offends me, it's asymmetricality

frankly, i was annoyed with your username for three reasons.
1. you capitalised the B and not the F
2. that space in the middle is annoying
3. the space at the end, what were you thinking?

I agree with everyone above, especially Black francis' belief that someone might be upset at his choice of handle. It is pretty unoriginal and kind of rude to be taking up real estate like that.
It is very similar to someone buying as many domain (extensions included) names as possible similar to, lets say, Walmart (i.e., walmart.net, wal-mart.com, etc.) and making them into porn sites and the like or trying to sale them to Walmart for a markup rate. This example does not exist but I wanted to give an example of a one-of-a-kind name and very popular business.
Though you are free to do what you want, what if Charles wanted to use that handle? Also in the past there were a few jokesters trying to act like they were Frank Black. And if they wholeheartedly didn't want to misbehave, they at least made it a tad confusing on whether you are reading what Charles wrote or not.
I am also not upset, but I just wanted to express my point of view.

The little underscore at the end of your username leads me to believe that you're not being honest about "thinkin' that someone was bound to have already taken that name". If you were trying to choose a common one to demonstrate how to sign in, you would not have done that.
Besides this, though, I harbor absolutely no resentment towards you (besides the misspelled "apology" fiasco).
