If I remember correctly... I think FB himself somewhere said that if you look at the calendar, there's black and there's red days, so BLD should mean all other days than the sundays, x-mas-holidays etc. So tomorrow should be just another LONG black letter day. And it's no a nice day: Every day I work

Exactly. It's a play on the expression "red letter day,"
a special day, such as the ones printed in red
on calendars. It's brilliant of Frank, really.

Oh and as for "About A Girl", yes I do. But it's just two chords anyways, and they do go quite well together. I don't think it was an intentional rip-off or anything.
