Teenager Of The Year being an epic album with many different types of songs it is hard not to like any part of the album.I think it would be interesting to see other frank black fans' personal favourites off of the album, mine would probably be superabound or space is going to do me good. |

Superabound is a case in point why Lyle should still be with The Man. Lyle if your reading this, we love you. Or at least I do! But Calistan is a nice toon too! |

Thallasocracy
Its usually the main reason I put in TOTY
Second place would be Superabound...it used to be Speedy Marie but now my Speedy Marie has broken up with me so I can't listen to that song anymore.
THOUGH I love that when I skip Speedy Marie, I get Headache, which perfectly captures how I feel. Thats awesome...

Another vote for Superabound here, which is probably my favourite Frank song. It's the perfect antidote to a bad day.

Probably Abstract Plain. Not in order of preference...Thalassocracy, Two Reelers, Fazer Eyes, Hostess, Superabound, Big Red, Denizen...when is Frank gonna do another 'fun', kinda pastiche album like this? |

I'd say "Speedy Marie," although all of the songs are great. My least favorite is probably "Fazer Eyes," but even that's hardly bad.

I forgot about Pie in the Sky. That goes up there too...
I'd say my least favorite is either Bad Wicked World or the Hostest with the Mostest. They are fun songs but those are really the 2 where i could think "these could have been left off the album", which is such a long album. I mean especially Bad Wicked World i could see a cool b-side, and Hostest just never left much of an impression with me.

come off it, Jordo, Bad Wicked World is killer, all those off kilter guitar changes and the theme man is something else, all justified paranoia 'n' stuff...
but i agree with
14 I Could Stay Here Forever 15 The Hostess With The Mostest being poorer these 2 don't do much for me |

Hmmm, I gotta say Freedom Rock. Closely followed by Thalassocracy. And man I love Sir Rockaby.

After listening to the album for the first time i thought Freedom Rock, Superabound and White Noise Maker were the big guns on this album but now i apprieciate songs like Ole Mullholland, Denizen and Space more. Superabound is the only song to stay in my top 3 so il go for that one as my favourite. I wouldnt miss The Vanishing Spies and Fazer Eyes if they were left off. |

I've been reading this forum on and off for a while, never posted, but I've got to put in my two cents on this one, since no one's said it yet.

Hostess is one of the best songs on the album. I pity the fool who disagrees. |

Another one for Superabound - love the way that song builds.
I adore Headache just for being a song that got played on the radio when I was driving around in the summertime.

This album is perfect from beginning to end. I'll vote for Superbound for its positive vibe. Pie in the sky for its howsome energy and freedom rock, whell, that's a masterpiece of songwriting.. |
