Solo movies are fine. You only miss the after show discussion and maybe feel a little awkward before, but I don't give a crap about that. Actually, sneaking out and seeing a matinee on a weekday feels like a treat. I'll probably do the Stars Wars solo pretty soon, I hope. |

I'm probably not going to get anything done tomorrow. I'm comfortable with that, though. I think.

I can't remember if I took my one a day hayfever tablet this morning, I remember picking one up but not if I took it, I'm sneezing like a loon and my mouth and eyes itch.
Do you think it'll be ok to take two?

Yes.
As far as solo movies go, I think itīs fine. Thereīs a cinema in Dublin where itīs kind of a tradition for people to duck into the lunchtime show spontaneously and itīs a weird feeling if you turn up with somebody else.

By the way, Newo, are you talking about The Screen on D'olier street? |

It was a theraputic intervention. The only way I could end the post-show funk was to buy tix to the next show.

Over a year of living in this house, you'd think I'd remember that the frikkin taps are plumbed in the wrong way round.

I don't remember that from the movie. Maybe I should watch it sometime soon. I remember some lines from 5 Easy Pieces, like when he's ordering food at the diner.
I'm sorry. I'm just sitting here thinking "banging beaver" and laughing. Floop, you crack me up. You and Jack Nicholson both.
What are you doing on this balmy Friday?

I'd rather not bang a beaver. Those things have sharp teeth, and probably don't appreciate acts of bestiality.
Friday nights are usually my most boring nights of the week.

Go to the movie solo, Zub. But don't attend a concert alone, as I did the Pixies show this week. Some guy asked me mid-song (WHEN PEOPLE SHOULD BE DANCING NOT SPEAKING) how old I was. I told him and he said "I'm 20 and I think older women are hot. I've always wanted to be with one." I shouted back "We are hot" and resumed dancing (to "Planet of Sound"). Meanwhile the guy on my other side kept feeling me up, which was somewhat unavoidable and pleasant because we were dancing in tight quarters and because he was hunky in that Irish Boston college boy way. But then he licked my neck. Twice. I'm, like, no you are drunk and I have never spoken to you in my life. What a horny bunch Pixies fans are.

im going to the film solo, but going to smear rat poison on my neck just in case anyone tries to lick it |
