Sean Penn mwas in Shanghai Suprise (with Madonna) which was produced by Handmade films. He reportedly pushed the director around and ended up calling alot of the shots, theres also a bunch more stories about his involvement with the director and film which make him come off as a complete ass. The film ended up being a complete flop and helped (slightly) to destroy the best independent film company the UK has ever produced. The film is currently #56 worst film ever on imdb.

Last thing Penn did I liked was "Bad Boys" where he fucks that guy up with a pillowcase full of pop cans.
I vote "dick", though. he just seems like a dick...but I don't blame him for knocking the hell outta Madonna. She was probably almost bearable prior to about 1983.
I've been off work...have watched a bit of TV.
Didn't see any oscars, but what in God's name is Joan Rivers and her spawn doing all the hell over the airwaves?
Jeeezisss Christ can't someone pop her with a poison dart or something?
It seems Halle is now in league with The Ofrah?

I can't say all actors are stupid. I'm an actor, and yet I know a hawk from a handsaw. (It's a joke. Get it? Trust me, it's funny.) But seriously, when you take into account the fact that it is the job for actors to read something somebody else has written and then repeat it out loud in front of other people and cameras, you can't really blame them for not knowing when to stop. But yes. We are crazy. However, I don't really think whether a girl is an actress or not makes a difference. I've dated from both pools and I have learned this: all women are actresses. They all act. And all women are crazy. If anything, I'd say that dating an "actress" is a safer bet because you're more aware of the fact that she could be acting. Right? Now, I'd like to clarify the fact that women are not crazy ALL the time. Just when they're being your girlfriend. Then the rules of sanity that usually govern their lives are null and void. They can think and do whatever they want without repercussion. We must accept that as a gender, then we can start to accomodate and overcome. Women, please don't be offended. I'm just stating from experience. But I will agree that it helps if she is hot. That always helps.

| I apologize. I was writing with casual sarcasm, which I don't think came across. I don't actually think that by any means. I'm sure there's a grain of honesty within it, since I've noticed relationships can have a tendency to do crazy things to people (women AND men alike), but no, I did not seriously mean that. I have much respect for the opposite sex. Maybe I confuse crazy with confusing. And in order to get a different girlfriend, I'd need A girlfriend in the first place. But that won't happen until I'm not a broken semi-cripple anymore. So yes, I apologize for implying seriousness in my previous post. I also apologize for digressing from the thread subject at hand. |

| Oh, yes. I do admit Sean Penn is a dick. I was just commenting on the acting culture as a whole. And I've read that drudge report thingy before. He does make a good point or two, but it seems like he kind of missed the point Mr. Parker and Mr. Stone were trying to make. I guess Mr. Penn, if anything (besides fine acting), gives us a nice reference point of how NOT to make friends. |

Sean Penn is a dickwad, acting like he was super-brave to get up and defend Jude Law from one of Chris Rock's harmless, lame jokes.
Chris Rock is one of the unfunniest people around. I don't see how anyone could care about the idiotic "shocking", "outragous" things he says.
Madonna is awsome. On the Like A Prayer album she has a really could song called Till Death Do Us Part which is great, it has sort of a country feel to it- it's worth downloading, check it out.
Anyway, no matter how good any of her music is, she is just annoying now- all of her self-awareness and enlightenment that she feels compelled to share with all the common, unenlightened people. She's almost as bad as Sharon Stone, who everytime I see her on TV she's acting like she's some kind of pioneer for womenkind. makes me want to fucking throw up.
But if you get a chance, download that song; actually the whole album is very good, her best.

I AM one of those always-give-the-benifit-of-the-doubt kinds of people. So I'd like to think he has his redeeming qualities (besides his excellent acting). I haven't seen any yet, though. That and the whole actor-turned-expertinwhateverhetalksabout thingy is one of my big pet peeves. If I met him, I'd be nice. And not just cause he's famous. |
