This makes sense. Frank wanted to have a kid and spend some time at home with his family. Previously he had toured to support himself but to gt some more family time he needed some extra cash. So he goes on a tour with the pixies playing lots of festivals which pay well. And he releases Frank Black Francis, and soon the 2nd pixies dvd.
All of that money gives him a chance to hang out with his son. He's a real family man. |

Hey there someone. It does make sense and I suppose there are all sorts of reasons why all four members decided to reunite. Without being too crude, January 2005 minus 9 months means the magic bean was planted around March/April time, whereas the reunion must have been planned in 2003 sometime. I'm just happy for them that it all worked out.
I wonder how they're getting on with that DVD? |

Can't wait for the Ps dvd, but the Frank and Catholics dvd will be the gem. Love your reasons for the money someone, nice way of putting it. Like boxcar says, they're are all sorts of reasons for the reunion but the main has to be the cash, for whatever reason. franks a wise man, a business man too.
Question: You have been in the music biz for some time now. Do you have any advice for up and coming bands regarding the music industry side of things? Contracts, etc?

UPDATE
NYC HAS BEEN UPBEAT ABOUT DOING A BOXED SET; ALL THE RECORDS, PLUS THESE 2, PLUS SOME OTHER STUFF; MAYBE A DVD WITH CONCERT AND VIDEO STUFF? ANY GOOD BOOTLEG STUFF OUT THERE? DON'T BUG THE LABEL; IT'S TOO EARLY. THANKS.
