ok, i have learned the chord, E-C#m-G#-A
but i can't obtain what is on surfer rosa
but how many times? up and down with right hand??
i feel so stupid to ask these things

Are you using the barre versions of these chords? That's what you should be using (except for the E). It is much easier to mimic the way Frank progresses through the chords using the barre chords.
I'm assuming you're pretty new to the guitar....if this is the case you just have to play, a lot. The more you play the better it'll sound and the quicker you grasp newer stuff...it takes time but it's worth it. |

well, make sure you use the barre chords, except for the open e like hawken said. as for the strokes, it's just down strokes, except when switching the chords. then it's up down. then for the a barre chord, its a bunch of up and down. it's easier to show than explain.
