just found out that futureheads are opening for hot hot heat on april 9th and 11th in vancouver and also in whistler on the 10th. cool! if i can scrounge up dough after buying wonderstuff, ash, and bloc party tix, i'll see as many as i can of those three.
homer, i know this is my thread and you shouldn't even be reading it but anyways i didn't mention i talked to a girl from CBC radio after the show and they recorded it for a later broadcast, i will definitely be setting the tapedeck up for that and an interpol show on the 19th.

oh, and the way they opened the show....they played the beginning of bohemian rhapsody over the PA, you know, "momma, just killed a man, ooh, ooh, a, ooh......." the whole audience was singing it until the part where it gets heavy and they came on stage and played le garage at atleast 1 and half times speed, awesome! they played every song from the album as well as two i didn;t recognize (b-sides?), some dorian gray song, and they ended with cover of neil young's 'piece of crap'. also, audience participation on hounds of love was cool, they had one side of the room doing ross's part of the chant and the other half doing jaff's.

| Yeah they did that room splitting thing when I saw them. I have never heard Neil Young's Piece Of Crap, it's not on Decade which is the only Neil Young I own, but the Futurehead's version is very enjoyable. I downloaded it a while ago, along with other b-sides and live rarities. I can't imagine Mr Young's version sounds anything like it. |

| Yeah Ross makes me laugh. I really like all of The Futureheads but he in particular (along with Barry, the singer) makes me laugh. He is the best looking too, I think he gets the most girls after him (though he is loved up). |
