Can anyone find an issue more "1984-ish" than this one? I've been reading about it for the last six months. It's downright chilling.
I'm curious to know if there are any Democrats or Republicans on the forum who are willing to defend this move to screen (and ultimately drug) our children for "mental health." I believe the only folks who stand to gain from it are the pharmaceutical giants.
I had no idea. I knew about "problem" children being refused from schools if they were not given treatment and drugs, but this manages to break the Orwell-o-meter.
I was just edit: almost starting to warm to the idea of having a baby too.

One of the scariest things about this administration is the innocuous-sounding names it gives to its fascist initiatives, i.e. the paradoxically-named "clear skies initiative" that would dirty the skies. It sounds like this "New Freedom Commission on Mental Health" would take away freedoms. 1984, indeed!
