I've decided to broaden my horizons to include southern rock & bluegrass. Also go tent camping with friends for three days and get nice & smelly. Anyone going?

I know how you feel, and I'd have said something, but I'm not going. I only like about 2 of those bands. Well, My Morning Jacket. Just one band I know I really like in the midst of a bunch I know I really don't isn't enough for me to brave the mud and the crowds. I hate crowds.
I'm very curious about Drive-By Truckers, and would like to hear some of their stuff, and Secret Machines might be a good time. They're pretty good, and probably have gotten better since we saw them. Oh, and there's John Prine too. And Earl Scruggs. If he's doing old-time bluegrass for this that should be good.
I'm pretty sure LBF went last year and enjoyed it.

I hope you have fun. Given the lineup, there will be too band jam bands-fans for my taste. But, again, to each his own and have a blast.

Seems like it would be fun if you're into the festival thing. I can't stand to be around people so I would not go. I think it's really weird that Mars Volta are playing, seems like they don't fit. And don't miss the drive-by-truckers, good music.

To be honest, I don't like jam bands that much either. I'm only going for John Prine and Drive-by Truckers. Otherwise, I'm just going to hang out with friends and drink. Alot.

It is a great time. Make sure to check out the comedy tents and the Air Conditioned American Spirits tent.
I will not attend this year. The mud last year was too much for me. |
