A friend of mine from the comedy show (which I have since quit) created a sketch with some semi-professional guy and he chose me to play a part. It's going to be on a local woman's show (weird venue for it, yeah) called The Dr. Kimberly Show, which I guess is a monthly thing. Not sure if we're going to do it every month or what, but it'd be pretty cool. How fucking weird.
I guess I just wasn't made for these times. |

Congratulations Barto. Just curious though, why'd you quit the comedy group? You seemed to be really enjoying it the last time you posted about it on the board?

Hehe, thanks guys...once I know when it'll air, I'll definitely be recording and hopefully will get it up and running online. It's so weird. When I left our first rehearsal, I just burst out laughing...like "what the fuck, I'm gonna be on TV." It's always been a dream of mine to be on TV...now it's reality...albiet local TV.
The comedy group got stale, and I got bored with it...half of the group sucked and they had a completely different sense of humor and I just couldn't work with that anymore. Once winter break came and 2 of the 4 talented people went out of town, I took a break...then we got cancelled from our normal venue and that pretty much sealed it for me. I think the unfunny people and 1 or 2 of the funny people still do it, but I've moved away from it. It used to be fun. Great training, though. I don't regret a minute of it.
I guess I just wasn't made for these times. |
