I wouldn't call it GOOD basic rock, though. Perhaps I'm biased against basic rock itself, but I honestly think there is good basic rock and bad basic rock. A lot of Frank's basic rock isn't very good. I admire his attempt to try something new and reinvent himself, but his results are iffy. Although I think FB & the Cs is a winner, this album has boring, uncatchy songs such as "Punk Rock City". |
