I´ve been thinking after the Concentration Camp thread, and just a short note to say I do not give a rat´s ass for on/offtopic. Would you sit in a bar or coffee shop and say to friends Sorry but there is a certain conversational stream we must keep to? They´d call you a control freak if they care for you at all. I refuse to accept the energy of control, if I do I´m just going to tune in with those willing to control me and others, and as we can see when we look away from the screen there are plenty of puppet Caesars willing to take it to quite freaky limits. Ta but no ta.

You are, I blame you for the whole apples ---> peanut butter debacle

I cried salty salty tears.

I agree though Owen, I love the tangents and if someone tried that on me over a coffee it'd be the last time I graced them with the pleasure of my company over that the most holy of drinks. Or any lesser drink for that matter.

Thanks a lot, Floop. I am trying not to think about the weather.
I'm talking real weather, none of this wimpy Southern California
stuff. Ten below this morning, and that's without the windchill factor.
Three seconds outside and you know exactly how many nosehairs you
have because you can feel each one freeze up.

people who say things like "wimpy California weather" or "i like the seasons" are just telling themselves that to make themselves feel better about living in painfully cold weather.

It was 70 degrees fahrenheit here last Wednesday. Today, right now, it's all the way up to 11.

People who stay on topic for more than two posts are lying to themselves
about their very right to exist. They also make quesadillas that may not
be as great as they think they are. Good, maybe, but not great.

Thank you very much Tony, the weather here is awful, cold and rain, what else could we have?
But it doesn't matter, I just had smoked salmon for dinner and you didn't!

the homeless around where i live really don't have it that bad. relatively speaking

ps. kathryn, is that supposed to be a burn on me? i'm confused

Dammit, Nicole! I demand yet again the thread about the trip.

Yes, floop. It was. But in a friendly way. From a newbie to an old-timer/old-fart.
Obviously it was so funny that it wasn't funny at all. Funny how I do that sometimes. Many times.

Back on topic, I thought Rita was a vegetarian. What is she doing eating her
sister the salmon?

yeah, nicole.. curious how your LA adventure was. also, did you go to Zion?

i think this thread should go off topic every two or three posts.

by the way, did anyone see THE AVIATOR? i liked it but thought it was a little too long. very interesting character that Howard Hughes though..

think i might take a trip down to Long Beach to see the Spruce Goose. i've never done that. could be fun. maybe check out the Queen Mary too, which i've also never done.

did you know a lot of rock celebrities were born in Long Beach?

You know, I'm starting to come round to the idea that food without meat isn't the work of someone evil and dangerous to society. There's nothing like good meat though. I'm sure most of you know this...

A meal without meat is not a meal.

I'm thinking of cutting my hair short and dying it brown. You've never seen me, but... opinions?

Time to change to another topic, people. Some of you are slacking,
some of you are continuing on the same topic for more than two posts!
Being a newbie and all, I expect better examples to be set for me.

there's nothing strange about a perfect slice of pork, marinated in barbecue sauce, onions, brown sugar, jalapenos, and curry powder and slow cooked so that by the time you take it out, the meat is so tender it literally falls apart on your fork and dissolves on your tongue

I dunno about you, But I heard Long Beach.

Day: cut it. Dark hair: good. Less hair for you to deal with: better.
You're more portable, more durable - less primpy, more practical, stronger and smarter looking with shorter hair...unless you're talking about getting it cut really too short, then I say no.
About the bottom of your jaw is nice...hair length I mean. I haven't seen the bottom of your jaw, so I can't say whether its nice or not...tho I'm sure it is.
