ok so i heard revolution on the white album, but the other day i heard a different version on the radion. it was faster and more electric than the one on the white ablum. does anyone know when this was recorded and how i could possibly get a copy of it? ive checked soulseek, but i keep getting the white album version.

its the single version of revolution - you can currently find it on the "past masters vol. 2" compilation - i believe it was the A-side to Lady Madonna, but i could be totally wrong

Revolution is such a great tune. So is Lady Madonna. Thanks phreak I didn't know there were two versions. |

i *think* it was the A-side to 'hey jude', and the reason it was re-recorded to rock more was because someone in the band didn't want two ballad-y songs released on the same single. i could be way off base though.

i think it was the B side to Hey Jude now that you mention it Jose - i know Hey Jude was definetely an A side

I saw a live version of this track as performed on Top Of The Pops once - to me, it sounded more like the Stooges than the Beatles.
