gotta give credit where credit is due. this man created THE original dating show. while Blind Date has its own qualities, nothing can replace what he created long ago.
Chuck. the man.

And he is a bass master! Check this out from ESPN. We're talking about a true Renaissance man.

He was married to Jo Ann Pflug. I used to see them on Tattletales, hosted by the late Bert Convy. |

BLT, you are a font of knowledge! I am impressed.
Here is Chuck Barris, also of the Gong Show. Now that was television entertainment, my friends. Was he really in the CIA? What was that about?

Do you believe he was in the CIA? What does he claim, anyway? Do you think he was nuts? Or brilliant? This is both confusing and important.
I am impressed that you read that!

i have the sequel (bad grass never dies) waiting for me once i'm through with my current 4 books i'm reading
i do not think he was really in the cia for the simple reason that the cia would never let such secret stuff get out - he would have been a dead man years ago if it was true. if he somehow mananged to get it published, he would've been squashed. when i first read it, it had been out of print for almost 15 years, and to me that seemed logical - he was in the cia, he wrote this book, and they blocked the reprints of it. however, with the movie and the reprints that are now out, along with a sequel, i believe that it is absolutely horseshit. totally entertaining, but totally false.
i even think some of the private and tv stuff is bogus - its all barris doing what he does best - taking things americans love - sex, violence, espionage, television - and making an enjoyable product out of it

Chuck Woolery is from Ashland KY (about 45 min east of me), went to Morehead State University like myself and my father before me and was an accomplished jazz guitarist - unlike myself and my father before me.
I mean, it doesn't matter, buyt you know - I'm just sayin. My dad knew the guy in school. |

I wanted to let all Love Connection and Chuck Woolery fans know that the one and only will be in Philadelphia on Monday, Feb. 14th for a Philadelphia 76ers game. Woolery will be hosting the "Love Connection" at halftime of the 76ers game and the winner will go on an ALL EXPENSES PAID date with Matt Cord, the 76ers public address announcer.
To have a chance to be this lucky lady go on to this website and register to win this date. http://www.nba.com/sixers/76ers_match-up.html.
So make sure you come out and see the 76ers play and also have the chance to meet Chuck Woolery and watch this game show host icon in action as he hosts the "Love Connection" on Feb. 14th in Philadelphia.
Please post back with any questions. |

Weird... Did he just search for Chuck Woolery, and come up with FB.net? This is almost as strange as the Sixers beating the Mavs in Dallas without AI. |

Well it is on the third page of results, so probably.
But I still think s/he's a spy. I never let common sense get in the way of my paranoia.
