Wine and peanut butter? I may have to try that, floop. Thanks for the suggestion. I am always looking for ways to mix it up when I am enjoying that red wine Frank likes to sing about.
A pox upon those unAmericans who don't love the goodness that is peanut butter!

for Darwin, with love, the fuji

According to http://islamic-world.net/children/fruit/apple/apple__family.htm The flesh of the Fuji is extremely crisp and juicy and stays that way longer than any other sweet apple. What makes the apple so appealing is the complexity of sweetness and tang, leaving a deep, interesting taste lingering on the palate.
for Kathryn the honey crisp

Islamic world says The fruit is large and exceptionally crisp and juicy. It is very sweet, with a well-balanced and aromatic flavor, consistently ranking as one of the best apples in taste tests. The apples have a distinctive red-orange blush, sometimes striped, over a yellow background color, with green russeting at the stem end.

Nice apples Tre!
Best use of peanut butter? Combined with coconut milk, lemongrass, garlic, cilantro, lime, and chicken or tofu served over basmati rice. Oh my god, that's some good eating. |

At lunch today, I had apple pie with maple ice cream a la mode in honor of this most righteous thread.

Apple pie is good when it's cold and chunky. Leftovers make a great breakfast. A la mode rocks, too.
But nothing beats tarte tatin. It deserves its own thread. Will some French forum member back me up here?

Peanut butter filled ensaimada remains uninvented. It could be a big overseas business...

I've thought about trying to make a tarte tatin. Doesn't look all that hard. Anyone have any luck making one?
