It's christmas time, makes me think of this guy I love :

Last night a little dancer came dancin' to my door
Last night a little angel Came pumpin cross my floor
She said "Come on baby I got a licence for love
And if it expires pray help from above"

In the midnight hour she cried- "more, more, more"
With a rebel yell she cried- "more, more, more"
In the midniight hour babe- "more, more, more"
With a rebel yell- "more, more, more"

She don't like slavery, she won't sit and beg
But when I'm tired and lonely she sees me to bed
What set you free and brought you to be me babe
What set you free I need you hear by me
Because

In the midnight hour she cried- "more, more, more"
With a rebel yell she cried- "more, more, more"
In the midniight hour babe- "more, more, more"
With a rebel yell- "more, more, more"

He lives in his own heaven
Collects it to go from the seven eleven
Well he's out all night to collect a fare
Just so long, just so long it don't mess up his hair.

I walked the ward with you, babe
A thousand miles with you
I dried your tears of pain, babe
A million times for you

I'd sell my soul for you babe
For money to burn with you
I'd give you all, and have none, babe
Just, just, justa, justa to have you here by me
Because

In the midnight hour she cried- "more, more, more"
With a rebel yell she cried- "more, more, more"
In the midniight hour babe- "more, more, more"
With a rebel yell she cried "more, more, more"

Oh yeah little baby
she want more

Oh yeah little baby
she want more

I used to be the biggest Billy Idol fan in high school but why on earth does Christmas make you think of him?

Many years ago I saw him walking toward Electric Ladyland studio on 4th St. in the Village wearing no shirt, black leather pants, combat boots and snarl.

I saw him hanging out at the Hollywood Star Lanes bowling alley. He wasn't bowling. He was still gimpy after his motorcycle wreck.

Tre, I know for a fact that I am twice your age. So show some, um,
respect, yeah, that's it, respect for your, er, elders.

Man, I feel old typing that.

I saw that show too. It was Troy, NY in '87 and I have pictures somewhere...

The Cult did do very well at that show. Billy was a bit groggy that night, as I recall. They can't all be gold, can they?

Yeah... Billy Idol is awesome. I wanted the organist to play white wedding while we were leaving the the wedding chappel. He said ok at first but then he said it would aggervate his carpel tunnel. Darn.

I saw a video of a concert once.
He did
"Flesh For Fantasy" with whole stage totally washed out in red light.

I wasn't a big Billy Idol fan until that moment.
It just rocked.
The women, the song, the lights, the Idol - the snarl, the white blonde hair, fist pumping the air...how do I say this without it seeming homoerotic...

It WORKED.

I have no idea when or where i saw it.

Eyes Without a Face is a great song...some great classic 80's musical moments in it...and Steve Stevens was one of the cooler guitar players of the genre and era I thought.

In the Flesh video I saw, he just sort of strolled around the stage with that smiling snarl on his face like he was the master of this great harem of hot, wet women..."we wa-hawnt.....FLESH!!! "
Like some kind of big sex circus.

It was awesome.
I wasn't attracted to the man himself (as I've found I'm generally not attraced to men sexually), but was just sort of in awe of the powerful sexual energy in the song...especially in the setting - the way they did it.

Flesh For Fantasy would probably be something one might want to put on one of "those" mix discs, if you get my drift...

Wiplash Smile was one of my earliest vinyl purchases. It is not a very good album though. The inner sleeve has a pic of Billy in a torn vest clutching a whip across his chest. You said hunk Colheartofstone.

Yeah his guitarist was really cool, I agree with that he always comes across as the coolest guy on the screen in Billy Idol videos to me.

That's so cool. I haven't heard of anyone else doing it. But when other girls were dreaming of pretty dresses and flowers when they thought of their weddding... all i could picture was that :)

Who knows maybe we'll renew our vows some day... more in the beach style wedding I wanted... and if we do, we'll definately have to play it.

Billy Idol made me fall in love with sound of screaming men.

I thought I could see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it was
