i am going to be depressed this holiday season and my family and friends and family will think it's because of typical holiday b.s. but, no.....it will be because i can't see anymore shows or have any glimpse of the future. secret shows? new album? greediness of hearing bam thwock live? kim's new haircut? frank's ring? did joey catch the drumstick? which hoodie to buy? where's my cd? i saw dave and frank sipping frappacinos at? what about trompe? this last year has kicked ass and i want to thank the pixies and everyone on this forum for informing and entertaining me throughout the hype and the reality.
Yeah it's been a treat all round for any Pixies fan, whether you wanted this reunion to happen or not. It did, and I got to see my favourite band of all time.
Don't get too down though my friend, whether the future brings us more Pixies, who knows. What we do know is Frank's giving us Honeycomb and hopefully a tour. The Catholics? Oh so many questions I can't wait for the future to answer. All of a sudden everything is happy again, there's so much to look forward to that we have no idea about this moment in time.
yeah taking 6 months off sounds like we are doing something after those 6 months besides I wouldn't mind to hear all those new records from their 'solo' bands
well didn't they say they were going to take 6 months off.So the pixies will hopefully be doing something in June/July.I think they were hinting at doing some recording session for a possible new pixies.That would make my year.I think the band could probably pull it off i also am glad that one of the pixies(i can't remember which one)said "we dont wanna release a record unless its kick-ass" or something like that.I can't wait to see how events unfold.
