For any questions you think don't deserve a thread of their own.
In 10%, is 'cotton mouth' similar to our UK 'dry mouth'? Too much weed / Lack of water. |

Ya, cotton mouth is dry mouth. As far as I know. See the (rather poor) Jim Carey film "Me, Myself and Irene" for an extreme example of cotton mouth. |

Erm...what are the weird creatures on the inlay of 'Dog in the Sand'? Are they little hermaphrodites?
I've always liked the images and layout of this album |

What does 'Spime' mean? Spime as in Spime Songs, Frank's publishing.
Are those Catholic b-sides compilations ever gonna come out? |

Sorry Jason, I know no clue about 'Spime'.
WHEN was the LAST time any of you listened to Frank Black through some decent headphones?
Today, try Cult of Ray or FB. Awesome first songs from both. Only stereo speakers can do these justice.

What album do you think Handyman could be on?
I love this song, especially the version with Teenage Fanclub. Franks played a few covers on his Catholics records, so is there room for one more? I always thought so. But which one? |

Oh, that can easily be fixed.
Just grate over the rice 'n' beans as desired at the end. If you shred about 2oz of lard, place on top of meal, then lightly grill for few more minutes until lard is bubbling. mmm. |

I don't think they will ship it to Europe, but that's very nice if they do it in the USA.

Also, I wonder where the DITS photos were taken. Anybody have a clue where the cityscape/swimming pool inside shot was taken? Or where the outdoor/outside cover art is from?

"Blast Off" always struck me as another "I want to go into space" kind of song, but there could be a little more to it than that. The "take all my chemical for comatose" part suggests that the singer wants to be put into a trance during space travel. The Isidis Planitia is a dome on Mars.
I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied. |

'I was counting the rings, and I fell me into a sleep.' Probably no connection. The six months sleep is probably the suspended animation required for space travel. |

san francisco. there was a thread 'bout the images on dits some time ago but I don't recall exactly where. i do know the fotos were taken by steve gullick. here's his site--check out the unused images! http://gullickphoto.com/archived_site/montage3/black/black1.html

Not hermaphrodites..i always thought lobsters/crayfish. anyone else?
*another note--the same guy who designed the layout did FBF and the "PIXIES" purple tape design...Andrew Swainson. did (does?) lots of artists from cookingvinyl and spinart...Sarah may be able to shed more light on the different work he's done for 'em.
another site says he's done designs for: XTC, Echo & the Bunnymen, Cinerama, cracker, et al...
