If the tickets say 8, what time do you think the band goes on? How long do the opening acts play for?

10:00pm.....ON THE DOT! ....and they should be on until 11:15 - 11:30 roughly.

This is pretty much the way it went for both Montreal shows:

Marble Index: 8pm to 8:30
Datsuns: 8:45 to 9:25
Pixies: 10pm
