Nobody has called it a "missing link"
What are they calling it and how does it fit in the myth...er I mean theory of evolution?
A terminal branch. Get a evolution textbook and look it up. I wasted my time once discussing evolution with you and it ended with you posting an article full of lies. Now you're back posting another article with lies.

In other words she has no training as a biologist. Why would you think she knows what she is talking about?
I don't know what all of her training is, but to come to the conclusion that she has no training in biology based on that little 2 sentence blurb at the end of the article must be the result of the same type of logic that enabled you to dedicate your life's work to an unprovable myth...er theory.
Nice personal attack. You're a classy individual. |

Because dear harringk, it seems difficult to discuss anything with you without it degenerating that way and I've never been one to dance around things. Last time an evolutionary discussion came up the same old pat questions came up, how did life start, how did the eye form, I took the time to write these things out and write them is as simple a form as I could so that it would be easy reading for the non scientist, and what attention was paid to this? none. So I'm sorry I don't put much stock in the cut and pasted article, but if people chose to pay little attention on something I have made an effort to do I tend to lose favour. Funnily.

quote: Once again, evolutionists strike when the iron is hot in an attempt to affirm the same bogus evolutionary dogma they have crammed down our throats for 150 years.
There IS no "evolutionary dogma," because evolutionary theory isn't religion, but science. And science allows room for growth, change, and admitting that earlier ideas were wrong. The Creationists find one minor hole in evolutionary theory, and say, "Well, that pretty much wraps it up! Time to flush the whole theory down the toilet!" Which is kind of hypocritical, since the Creationists didn't decide to flush the Bible down the toilet when they found out it was wrong about the shape of the Earth, among other things.
And, of course, we wouldn't actually HAVE toilets if it weren't for science.

oh and the bible also said that we're not supposed to be wearing garments of two different threads (Deuteronomy 22:11) so I hope you check all your clothes labels for any of those tricky poly cotton mixes

I don't understand why the theory of evolution has to always be at odds with the theory of creationism anyway.
If evolution is true, there's still lots of room for a creator (or God) in there. If Gawd wanted to create man, why couldn't evolution have possibly been his (or His) method of doing it?
Am I missing something? |

You know I've been thinking... Maybe Sasquatch and the like are just feral humans. Like if someone gives up on society and moves up into the mountains, within a few years they'd probably revert back to their wild state. Like cat's, dogs, and pigs do. Yeah. Mystery solved.

The other day, I saw someone's livejournal icon that parodied those billboards with messages from God. It was animated, but the funniest one was "Actually, it IS Adam and Steve. That's what you get for reading the translation. --God"

Well I asked for it so I guess I better reply, though I don't know why I bother anymore. If you're going to interpret those verses as meaning the authors believed the earth is flat I'm certainly not going to be able to change your mind. That is a pretty convoluded interpretation in my opinion, but if it fits your agenda I guess its good enough for you. |

That is Jewish law, I'm not a Jew, I'm a Christian. After Christ there is no need to keep Jewish law, He fulfilled the law and became the final sacrifice.
I'm not going to debate my religion. This isn't the place for that, and I'm no theologian. I've probably done enough damage already. I'm certainly not perfect and glad I don't have to be, but readily admit I need to try a little harder to set a better example. |

The thing about men not having sex with other men is a Jewish law, too. Granted, I think Paul also mentioned homosexuality as something bad, but it's the Torah that people always quote when saying that God hates gays.

"Excavations are continuing. In 1998, stone tools and other evidence found on Flores suggested the presence 900,000 years ago of another early human, Homo erectus. The tools were found a century after the celebrated discovery in the 1890s of big-boned H. erectus fossils in eastern Java."
haha am i the only one who laughed when he read "homo erectus?" what kinda scientist would name a species that? dont they know theyre just leaving the door open for stupid people like myself to laugh at them? |
