Nice story, reminiscent of Splash a bit though Haven't heard the song yet, is it sung in a good Scots brogue?

I like the ending :
"Often though, in the twilight of his years, he could be seen wandering on the empty sea-shore, hoping once again to meet his lost love.
But never again did he look upon her fair face."
I am very fond of those beatiful stories, like the celtic legends, the Norse legends or the Finnish Kalevala. I am soo happy mr Black made a song about this.
I will show you fear in a handful of dust |

There is a reference to this in A.S. Byatt's amazing novel Possession (which was UNFORTUNATELY made into a movie starring Gwynneth Paltrow). As the lovers finally make love, at a remote seaside resort, pretending to be wed, he calls her his selkie. I am not a big romantic and Byatt rarely writes about hot 'n heavy sex but this passage has always intrigued me and now, thanks to the forum fans' interest in all things Frank, I know about this. Fittingly, it's a beautiful, romantic song. Thank you.
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Frank |
