I just got "Juju" tonight and I must say that it really rocks. Anyone else like them? If so..what other albums do you recommend?

Yes!

"Hyaena" is a good next move. I can hook you up when you get back.

Also, don't know if you're already on this, but The Creatures and The Glove are superb.

I love the first Creatures album (Boomerang)

I haven't heard a Banshees record I didn't like EXCEPT for The Rapture which is abysmal. Superstition is mostly good.

I like Through the Looking Glass which is all covers, but is probably one of the best covers albums ever made.

My wife likes 'em.

I never really got it. I did like "Peek-A-Boo" though.

Negative points for coining the phrase 'happy house' in a musical context.

Made up for by the fact the guitarist is called Budgie.

They did a great couple of white album covers, possibly on that covers album you speak of A4C?

I love Juju, but my favourite's A Kiss In The Dreamhouse. There's a song on Juju that sounds exactly like a Placebo one (I don't have the album here but I think it's "Monitor").

I was looking to get hold of the Siouxie albums which Robert Smith contributed on, does anyone know which ones they are?

Hey, I'm new here, but I've been lurking for a while. As I'm a massive Banshess fan too I thought I'd pop up to answer Stuart.

Robert Smith appeared on the album Hyaena and the live Nocturne album and video. He also was on the Dear Prudence, Swimming Horses and Dazzle singles.

Hope that helps.

October, welcome and thank you for citing those lovely, lovely songs. Ahh, the crazy, hazy memories.

Crouton, you're in for a delightful experience. Nocturne still kills me every time. I think I listened to that every single day in college.

No Beatles covers on "looking Glass" There are covers of The Doors, Kraftwerk, Iggy Pop, Billy Holliday, Sparks, and even "Trust in Me" from The Jungle Book.

Also, I believe Budgie was the drummer and is married to Siouxsie.

S&tB are great. Run out right now and get the Peepshow album- it's perfect for listening to in October. And get Superstision on the first day of spring. Trust me.

IMO "the scream" is their best album. listen to "nicotine stain" and "overground". nothing to do with the popier sounds of Peepshow. just pure post punk noise. beautiful. and a great cover of "helter skelter". juju is a great second option. fortunately the S&TB back catalogue is all in smile price, not like the cure one that still costs 15€. i don't dig the creatures that much tho'. interesting but so much less catchy.
