Does anyone else here enjoy the band "Elf Power".

I think they are really great. The album "Creatures" is amazing, and the new "Walking with the Beggar Boys" is also a great listen.

My favorite 2 songs are "The Haze" and "Drawing Flies".

Anyone else have some other great Elf Power songs or thoughts on the band?

Got coffee, got donuts, got wasted..

They're pretty cool. I got some of their songs from eMusic. My favorite is probably "Icy Hands Will Never Melt Away."

i don't have any of their albums but i've seen them live. they did a Bad Brains cover and a Black Flag cover during their set, which i hate to say, was the highlight of their show..

what would you say is their best album?

my fav track is probably "The Arrow Flies Close" but maybe I'm partial to that one because Jeff Mangum from Neutral Milk Hotel sings a little back up, and I'm obsessed with NMH.
I saw Elf Power live once. it was a good show.. they played the aforementioned song and a Bowie cover ("Five Years") which were the highlights for me.

I like them too! I've read somewhere that Vic Chesnutt was associated to their latest album ("Walking With the Beggar Boys") but I haven't heard that one yet. But any band/musican associated with Vic Chesnutt is at least worth investigating in my opinion. (Except Michael Stipe, obviously. )

There might be some Elf Power stuff on the Elephant Six website...
