So, I'm probably crossing the pond in late June/July. Although I hadn't intended to when I first dreamt the idea up, all you lovely UKites have swayed me into spending a little time in the UK. I'm probably going to land in London, head north, take a ferry or something to Norway, Sweden, and then either down through Denmark or up to Finland and then stop in Russia. Then I'll come back over, hit France, and work my way to Greece (I'd not mind stopping in Austria again, I had a blast there, but I'd also like to travel along the south of France a bit.
As always, anyone with some local 'see this' sort of experience, feel free to pipe in. Hopefully I can run across a few of you, too. And of course, anyone willing to keep a Canadian guy locked in their basement for a night or two (or better still, willing to sleep on the street so I may have the home to myself) is STRONGLY encouraged to do so. :P

I second this, I'd love to meet Dean. I recommend Manchester though, it's a far superior city to any in grim Yorkshire.

This is ALL sounding good so far. Especially the pitchfork. I love that website.
I'd love to have a forum northerners (and maybe southerners) shindig! Still debating Scotland and Ireland, I'd like to see Andy and Barry too. Then the land(s) of the midnight sun, visit the delightful Frog and what sounds like a potential trip highlight in the guise of wine road. And then the less delightful Denis sur Paris and possibly take up permanent residence as his neighbour or roommate, never finishing the rest of my trip.
EDIT - Oh, and of course Mr. Mike (I posted before seeing his).

I don't know the south of France well enough to say, but I think that Cote D'azur is along the riviera with Cannes and Antibes and... isn't it? If so then yeah, probably. If you're in Toulouse and it's not way out of the way, mayhaps I'll make a point of stopping there. Anything to see in the area?
