Anyway, I love their CD so much. It makes me feel nostaligic for something I can't remember. And many of the songs make me cry. I think it's very beautiful.

this post was the main thing that was going through my head when I bought this CD TODAY...
and there is a lot of hype about this band froma lot of people on here and elsewhere...
so far I'm not feeling it, but I think it's a grower, like FB, so I'll see...
I've had 2 listens today and nothing really caught my attention...
I mean, it's pretty good...
What's your favorite song on FUNERAL????????????????????
I'd like to hear it...

Wake Up, Haiti, In The Backseat and Rebellion (Lies) are my favourites. I hope it gets you LBF, just like I hope that Elliot Smith gets me. |

Hey hey... remi's got tickets for the Arcade Fire tonight. I don't. It's sold out. But I do have remi's address...

I quickly looked and didn't see the Arcade Fire KCRW performance on here so I thought I'd post it. Sorry if it's a duplicate.
http://www.kcrw.com/show/mb
Scroll all the way to the bottom and watch it....if you can't make a show this is the next best thing. Also note that Matt Ward will be doing MBE soon!
Homers Pet....I picked up the new Elliot Smith based off reviews and am really enjoying it. First album of his I got, but it won't be the last. |

Well it was the best show I've seen since... the Pixies! I could not say anything more than what you might have read about them live. They played the whole album (opening with Wake Up, ending (encore) with Backseats) + No car goes + My heart is an apple (sounding so much better than on the EP)+ another song i didn't knew (a cover?) with a steel drum. Régine is funny, smiling a lot and speaking french (of course). As you already knew, they changed their instruments (Régine at drums on Tunnels!), it breaks sometimes the rythm of the concert. The sound was ok, better at the end (in the beggining the guitars weren't loud enough). They did not had much press in France, as the official release of Funeral was in late February, but it was sold out and a lot of people outside were trying to buy tickets. The crowd was 80% male, quite old(from 20 to 35), compared to the latest shows I've been to, the classic "connaisseurs" audience, intelectual and sceptical (people from before the New Rock Revolution, you know when rock was boring and electro was cool). I was really surprised that everybody was enjoying so much the show, clapping, shouting, jumping, dancing... From what I've understood, they're back in May in a bigger place (Elysée Montmarte 16May) No pictures, sorry.
That's all I was able to say with my bad english.

Remig, how I want to see them... I'm planning to go to Primavera sound on May, they will be there, and some others very good bands too.

Damn Rough Trade, cancelled my guest pass. I'm not going to pay for tickets, so maybe I'll make a stand against all this craziness. Maybe I'm just bitter.

They are headlining CMJ. So if you're willing to shell out $400, feel free to see them.

so i got my tickets. they sold pretty fast in winnipeg. i'm pretty stoked. heard they put on a great show at lollapolloza. wolf parade and bell orchestre are opening in wpg. i've been listening to wolf parade lots. they sound pretty good! anyone been listening to them? i think isaac brock from modest mouse produced or helped them with a few of their tracks.
anyone got any mp's of bell orchestre? send me an email if you want to trade or donate to the fu music library.
