It's a beautiful song. One of my favorites in a while. I made an MP3 of it from this post.
I don't mean to sound negative, but I would really love a song like this to be done in a different way or for a different project and not by the Pixies on a new album. |

Yes that is a terrific song. The man can write a tune.
I couldn't remember if he had titled it when he released that first video of it on FB.
With you on different project - I think there are a bunch of 2.0 songs that would be even better if they were done in some other world of his |

| Would be nice to see a solo (or Catholics if he chooses) album from these. I still like Pixies but I think it'd be nice to see new Frank music outside of that box for a little. |

Great work
Personally I wouldn't mind a Pixies record with these kind of tunes
Primrose was a highlight for sure
Still, would be understandable if this is for a solo record or a record with Bobby Bare Jr
A new Catholics work, which I do expect, could also work with this kind of material
So...yeah, just release the damn tunes

I genuinely think the Pixies are holding him and his new songs like these back from reaching their full potential. No offense to the Pixies, I just don't think it's the kind of music they can really tap into in a natural way, same with the producer. Sounds like they're putting on a costume or something, a square peg in a round hole.
I wish he could just make whatever albums he wants with whoever he wants in terms of how they would benefit the material the best. |

Agree with the first statement, not sure if somebody is holding him back to make whatever he wants to make. Not sure if there's some contractual/legal stuff involved, but there's no record company for instance. Maybe has to deliver new pixies music every once in a while to their management?
Seems like he just lost interest in making records in general. And just makes Pixies records because he likes to tour and all the attention. And the management asks him to. And of course Tom, who seems to push Frank to demo songs and record.
