On this 1997 single, a different mix of Debaser is included: https://www.discogs.com/release/393903-Pixies-Debaser-Studio

Mixed by this guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clif_Norrell

I'm not actually sure how different that mix is to the album version. If anyone has both and can explain the differences, I'd be interested in that.

There's a very similar 1997 single, released in France, where they replaced Debaser with Monkey Gone to Heaven, but keep the other three live tracks.
https://www.discogs.com/release/896718-Pixies-Monkey-Gone-To-Heaven

On this single, however, it also says that track 1 is mixed by Clif Norrell.
Could this be another Clif Norrell mix of a Pixies song?
Or would this be a case of copy/paste for the Debaser single, leaving in information about track 1 of that cd single? And is this just the album version of Monkey Gone to Heaven?

Also found the Monkey Gone to Heaven off that 1997 single. Shared it here: https://jumpshare.com/share/w8BodyXCzBcK8iz7o685

Now I can do my own comparison.

i find it hard to focus on any differences in debaser except for the now tremendously loud tambourine track haha
while i do like the tambourine being more present i feel like it takes away from the song, especially the parts where the tambourine drops out, so i prefer the original mix

interesting difference in presence of some of the instruments and layers in monkey gone to heaven but i don't like how papery they've made the snare drum sound in that mix

I actually really dig his mix of Monkey, and the way he has treated (or not treated, perhaps) Kim's vocals on his version of Debaser.

Thanks for shining a spotlight on these variants.
