I know there are several good ones when it seems our man stopped in to the Chapeau Shoppe before the show.

For my money, it's hard to beat this Men in Black / Superabound in Scotland 1996.

The "hat" plus the whole kit, the knowing smile to the audience, the entire thing is just perfect FBF magic.

The T in the Park performance - I believe he mentioned in an inerview that before that show they were hanging out with Black Grape and had a few drinks with them.

My memory is a bit hazy, can't find the exact interview, but as I recall it Shaun Ryder insisted (or made a drunk bet) that he wear this shirt and as a compromise wore it on his head.
