There have been a fair few songs throughout 'Pixies 2.0' that feel like spiritual successors or 'siblings' of older Pixies songs, or sometimes FB songs. Usually for me it's a case of instrumental dynamics and sonics, but sometimes it can be in the actual compositional side of things as well. Let me know any that come to mind for you.
Doggerel + Space (I Believe In) sparse verse sections, bass+drums+additional percussion, spacy guitars, spoken word style vocal
What Goes Boom + Subbacultcha the chug brothers
Bird of Prey, This Is My Fate, Plaster of Paris + Lovely Day, The Navajo Know similar drum beats paired with music of a light or 'airy' nature, with clean lead guitar tones
In The Arms of Mrs Mark of Cain + Motorway to Roswell cymbalom in Cain is reminiscent of the piano in Roswell, and both are more 'extended' songs with an epic feel
Blue Eyed Hexe + U-Mass this one's pretty on the nose
Baal's Back + Rock Music both pretty much of a particular type of heaviness that i don't hear in other pixies tunes, the vocal style a big part of it
Bel Esprit + The Happening the lead guitar part (the one right at the start) is very reminiscent of the lead guitar in the second half of the happening
Classic Masher + If It Takes All Night 'man he looks so good' = 'every day of the week' |

I love the idea of this thread
Not sure I see what you’re seeing in the examples you gave though. |

Updated my post with brief descriptions! Also, realised I said 'Robert Onion' where I meant 'If It Takes All Night'

Oh yes, and in fact that one being written as a tribute by Paz means the reference is definitely intentional |

Magdalena just sounds like Bossanova to me, but more like it was left off Bossanova as opposed to a specific song. Maybe Havalina...Hey it even rhymes!
What Goes Boom sounds like Rock Music to me.

One that came to me was
Levitate Me —-> Get Simulated
I can’t put my finger on it but I feel something kindred with these two |

Agree about Plaster of Paris and Navajo Know. They always seemed like twins to me |

Maybe not siblings but Johnny Barleycorn and Catfish Kate could be cousins.
And Los Surfers Muertos is like Ana's ghostly sister. |

I feel like this one is not only indisputable, but possibly intentional:
Silver Snail --> Silver Bullet |
