As you know, the new album comes out soon, so I'm going through all the tabs you guys posted and getting them ready for "official release" (september 9th). If you tabbed any of these songs, let me know if you agree with any changes I've made (I've bolded major changes). And if you are just a guy who didn't tab these, you too can correct mistakes.

I didn't make any chord changes on this song.

Everything Is New

Intro

g-------
d---2---
a---2---
e-------
   Em*

I don’t know what to call this chord. The only thing I’m sure of is
that proper musical theory does not include the asterisk. I think
this chord is what is played, as a full Em chord does not sound right,
and I believe the base is playing a B, though I could be wrong.

Em*  C   G   C   Am   G   C   Em*

[Chorus]

Em*           C        G
Everything is new

                C
When the sky is blue

Am                     G   C
 You got everything to do

Em*  C   G   C   Am   G   C

Em (regular Em here) G Am C

[Verse]

Em                          G
Jessie quit the army and he started a band

        Am                     Em
he used play that club down at hermosa’s strand

                G                  Am
I think they’re changing the name again

Em                        G
Down in Holland where the windows are big
              Am
The paint the buildings bright
           Em                       G         Am
Cause they figure the rain’s coming who knows when

[Chorus]

Em*           C        G
Everything is new

                C
When the sky is blue

Am                     G   C
 You got everything to do

Em  C   G   C   Am   G   C

Em  G   Am   C

[Chorus] - x2

Em*           C        G
Everything is new

                C
When the sky is blue

Am                     G   C
 You got everything to do

[Verse]

[Chorus] - x2

[Guitar solo]

Em  G  Am  C  (2x)

[Chorus] - x2

End on: Em

____________________________________________________________________

I’m not sure about the whole Em* thing. I think playing that during
the verse sounds better than a standard Em, the low “e” just doesn’t
sound right. Perhaps someone out there with a clue can help me out.
Beautiful song.

*G#
in the intro it sounds like Frank plays a normal G# barre chord, while the
lead guitar mixes in that dissonant E note. In the chorus, rhythm guitar
kind of restrains from playing that chord fully, but it may hit some note
that wouldn't make it a normal G#. If you want you can play what I listed
below, but normal G# sounds just fine. ~proverbialcereal

E-----
B--5-- What I do is play a normal G# for 3 beats, then switch to the
G--5-- dissonant chord before going back to A.
D--6--
A--6--
E-----

The Snake
Tabbed by forum member: speedy m (Mike Velonas - mvelonas@hotmail.com)

7th Position E chord, 9th position F# throughout, except during low part.
“->” means slide.

E -> F# D* A                            E
            Well I’m a snake oh yes I’m very smart

E -> F#  B                           D
           But I was cruel without a humble start

E -> F#  D                     B                             A
           And I just lay here when you begged and you pleaded

D  A         D               B                 D
      Now I lay here cut in half because I am not the one you needed

E -> F# D* A                                  E
            So pretty and so tender that’s a rabbits way

E -> F#  B                          D
           A little pessimistic but that’s okay

E -> F#  D                     B                             A
           A pig or goat well they gonna let you be mistreated

D  A       D             B          D
      So I geuss on that note I am not the one you needed

(single notes in small letters)

a g# g F#
          well they call me the snake

f e d C#
          I’m just feeling my way

b  a  f#  E   F

[SAX SOLO]

F#   B    F#   B   F#   B   F#   E -> F#

Back to verse chords for the rest of solo

E -> F# * A                            E
           Well I’m a snake oh yes I’m very smart

E -> F#  B                           D
           But I was cruel without a humble start

E -> F#  D                     B                             A
           And I just lay here when you begged and you pleaded

D  A         D               B                 D
      Now I lay here cut in half because I am not the one you needed

E -> F# D*  A                                  E
            So pretty and so tender that’s a rabbits way

E -> F#  B                          D
           A little pessimistic but that’s okay

E -> F#  D                     B                             A
           A pig or goat well they gonna let you be mistreated

D  A       D             B          D
      So I geuss on that note I am not the one you needed

finish on  E -> F#  D*  A

*I'm pretty sure on this part there is a D chord hit just before going
 to A. It's a quickee. -derek

I added the into and picky part, and then corrected 2 chords in chorus. Not positive about those fills in the intro, but they sound decent

[G]Up in [Em7]Manitoba
The [C]sky was very [Am]blue

[VERSE]

The darkness came right down on me
There were no more lights to follow
So I slept inside the hollow

To wake myself?  But, no
My flesh had turned to snow
And i thought that I had died

	[CHORUS]

        [SOLO] - over chorus chords

And I was sent away
These walls are here today
For fifty years and some

I think it sounds better Em, but for that picking part I think it's technically an Em7 because of that D note on the B string. If you are just gonna strum Em probably sounds better.

On Massif when he plays it acoustic he plays the Monseurs at 9 part like

E    Em      C        G#   G#m   A                  E
Monsieurs at nine, that is my promise, have some wine

You can't really hear it on the album because there's so much going on, but if you listen to it acoustic, it's very obvious

Blame Speedy m, he typed up those lyrics. Or maybe he has a thing for you and did it on purpose.

That's right. And look how long it took her to notice. Speedy m is alone for the second time....

Good catch. I can hear the G#-G#m on the album version, but it's not as evident on the E-Em (even though it probably is there, just hidden)
