The Band Requests the Honour of Your Presence
If you live in L.A., the band Pablo Brazil would like to treat you to
a FREE SHOW at the world-famous Derby.
Please RSVP with your full name and/or nickname to
Pbrazil2003@yahoo.com and you will be added to the at-the-door guest
list this Tuesday, January 7 and walk in as a V.I.P.!
(Normal cover is $5 - enough for a large cup of coffee!)

*What is Pablo Brazil?
A five-piece "indie rock" band of mundane and mysterious origins,
P.B. is a group of four guys and one gal who play all-original music
in a wide range of styles, from Serge Gainsbourg and Antonio Carlos
Jobim to The Pixies and Stereo Total. They combine self-deprecating
wit and … ah, some other copy goes here. Did I mention they were
more "self-deprecating" than "witty"?
*Tell me more about this "Derby":
"With its throwback to Hollywood's golden age of glamour, The Derby
is fast becoming one of Los Angeles preferred, unpretentious
nightspots. What makes The Derby popular to its young and older
patrons is its low-key, albeit, elegant atmosphere. Located in Los
Feliz, an eclectic community of artists, writers, actors, and
musicians, The Derby has quietly become the spot to have a drink and
listen to some live jazz, swing, bebop, and the blues. The Derby is a
place where Hollywood goes to relax, not necessarily 'to be seen.''
*Tell me more about "Tuesday":
Mardi (French for Tuesday) comes from Mars, the Roman God of War. The
Greek God of War was Ares. Mm: we were hoping for something more
interesting here.
