I havent been here in a long while, so forgive me, if this has already been pointed out.
Tom Waits' The Black Rider was a song from a stage show that Waits wrote with William S. Burroughs. It's a play about the Devil tricking a man into shooting his new bride (perhaps that is what intrigued Burroughs).
