So what say you people of winter holidays then?

Been on/going on one? Skiing or Sunbathing? Sand or snow?

Recommendations of places to go and things to do?

I am booked to go away and I want snow and he wants sand. Anyone suggest a compromise?

Saint Antoine in the Austrian Alps... apparently it is the best snow in Europe. In addition the Alps are fucking big as well. Did a long stint in the UK/ Europe and also live in Canada and have compaired both ski regions. During my trip I was in the Rockies a week before Switzerland and while the rockies are nice the alps blew my mind... just huge. Go to Saint Antoine

So here is the deal... Ski because you have like a million weeks of holidays in the UK (compaired to our two weeks of holidays- crap) and get the good snow...you can always hop an easy jet flight to Athens if you want a beach later in the year...

I know it is winter, but, never trust a man who wears a fur coat.
