Hey there all...this is my first post here. I've been a Frank fan since I heard his first solo album being played over the loudspeakers at a Boston record shop in 1993. Don't tell anyone I listened to Frank Black for a while before I found out he had this previous band, the Pixies...
Anyhoo, a buddy and I were debating a few days ago what exactly the frick '21 Reasons' is about. Is it an apocalyptic kind of thing? The whole fingers runnin' around, bloody hand jumping from the water defies any kind of explanation from me.
Oh, 'Black Letter Days' rocks me hard. Just got 'Devil's Workshop' today, haven't listened to it because I am a schmuck.

Hey Kool, I'm new here myself and so far, I really like it. There isn't too much petty bickering in this forum. Everyone seems to be pretty damn cool. And how about that 21 Reasons link above? I didn't know the origins of that song either.

I can't say enough about the refreshing complexity of Frank's lyrics. I was listening to the radio in my car the other day, which I hardly ever do (usually, I have my Creative Nomad hooked in but my batteries were dead). Who comes on but Pink, the little mediocre incubus herself. I can't remember the song but the lyrical content was so weak and predictable, it was painful to listen to. Now, I make sure my batteries are fully charged.
