Being a Canadian - nothing but good. I like the Moosehead beer. Yanks, save yourself your freemason dollars and buy moosehead across the border when you come up to Ontario, not the standard beer junk. Ummm... 3.7% waterbeer. "It's good". My ass. Think Eastern Europe. Polish and Czech pivos. yes, yes, yesmmm.
Beer goes with music and other things.
it does indeed.

The best beer I've ever had world wide is from Australia. XXXX or 4X. Quite possibly the best beer to drink, get wasted, wake up and have ZERO hang over for work. Lovely beer.

homer: yeah. then we would get the chair.
marge: thats not what i meant homer!
homer: it was marge. admit it.

anyway - back to beer. when i travelled to poland and the czech republic (amazing countries - prague is beautiful) we found an amazing beer called staropramen. only 2 calories per teaspoon too :o)
guinness obviously though is my personal fave. cheers and good night.

I like Bass Ale, Rolling Rock, and for those 'got to fit into that outfit' days, Mic's Ultra Light, low carb latest addition.

Sleeman Ale rocks the world...as for Czech there are several good ones there and they are so cheap. Castlemain is good and on tap is certain London locals.

I don't drink beer very often (maybe twice or thrice a year), but when I do I like a Guiness / Bass combo. Very nice. But I'd take vodka over beer any day of the week. Sometimes I'll drink bourbon or scotch and water, too.

I agree on the chimay... that stuff is like beer wine. Absolutely great taste for those who really like the hops. Oh ya, and staropramen is one of the greatest beers ever. I think I must have had at least 1000 of those bastards when I was over there.. The waiters would just keep bringing us pints whether we ordered or not. This let to many afternoon of shitfacedness.

when i went to prague it was 50 irish pence (around 60 american cent approx) for a pint of staropramen. to go out and get shit faced on a fiver was something i only experience now when i am on antibiotics. :o) chimay still rules though. nice one fella.

It has always been Guinness for me. But lately the pints have been a bit dodgy in the Toronto area, so it is Harp with a slice of lime. Not cordial - that stuff is made from poison....I am sure of it!

Eggenberg of the small Czech town Ceske Krumlov is quite good it costs...get this 22 cdn for a keg...we use to just pick one up and drink it if we wanted to pre-drink before the bar when I was chilling there.

I think that is the general Czech price...each town has a brewery and you can walk up and then they hook you up. The hostel I was living at had a cart spacifically for getting Kegs...Beers out arn't bad either they are like 70 cents at the bar...generally a fun place...beautiful and medievil.

I went to Prague and went around the Urquell factory out in Plzen - great for a day trip!
I also recall fond days of drinking Belgian blonds with schapps chasers...I used to be a fan of darker molasses type ales too, my fave being a Yorkshire tipple called treacle of death.
Where I live now there was a curious pint called Gillespies which did the rounds once - had and taste and effect on you like Guiness with a strong expresso thrown in...
I don't drink now but those days when I did I certainly tried most of the better end of the market - and to my mind it really should be as versitile as wine drinking - certain beers suit certain moods...
And this time of years is great for hand pulled novelty ales - the usual xmas pudding flavours and chocolate ales are still some of the best.
What bugs me is lable morons...

Krumlov is king. Went there 3 times when I was in Czech. I can't remember the name of that hostel, but it was awesome (not the one by the river and the pub - the main entrance one)... and the girl who was running it at the time was really, umm, unique. Great times.

Dude, I think you are definitely talking about hostel 99 which was a lot of fun. When were you there? What do you mean the girl running it was unique...do you mean babs or sally?
Forever will they be entrenched in my mind shoking a butt with a beer in their hands playing pong pong...yeah, they are pretty unique.
