would it be possible to have the contents of the ftp site in a "sticky" at the top of the ftp section, I just thought it would be easier for people to see what they haven't got without having to load up an ftp client, etc, or read all the "new stuff added" posts. Yes i admit it i am lazy.

| I would be less inclined to post whole shows on the ftp. Shows can get traded easily enough, esp w/ this forum. Highlights from shows seems like a good idea: effin' great solos, odd moments, stuff like that. Seems like whole shows would be gumming the works a bit, unless they are of spectacular quality or historical interest. What with only 5 downloading spots, seems that whole dang shows could be a drag to complete. ok. -johnny |

| Yeah, but do most people need whole shows other than the ones they attended? It's easy enough (esp. w/ the forum as a communication center) to do a 2 for 1 trade w/ someone who taped the show you went to. Seems that the versions don't change too much show to show, so there's no real need to put everything on the web. Just send someone some blank discs. Maybe I just like the tradition of actually communicating w/ people in order to obtain the show you were at. Also, seems most shows were recorded crappily enough that mp3-in 'em further degrades the sound. The winconsin show on the ol' Levitated page was nice since there were so many new songs, but now there's no real reason for having (unless one attended the show) it since it sounds like butt and the record has been released . I stand by posting highlights. -johnny |

well i've only got to see one show, so it's nice to hear what he's doing live.
Surely if you don't want the whole show, don't download it; and if you do, then do.
