I have no problem. Everyone plays on the same soil. Only human made borders. Give them a chance. Maybe the English are a little afraid. Would like to see Larsson in England for sure. What do the rest of you think? Maybe let them into the FA Cup for a starters?!

they would probably get knocked out by bourmouth in the first round... but larsson in the prem would be very nice indeed. also i would scream for liverpool or arsenal playing rangers!

I would love to see them play. Hell, let them play at Ibrox and give no visiting tickets. How sweet would it be to see Henry be subbed at half with three goals and a couple of helpers. Might become a bit of a farce. How about letting the Bray Wanderers or St. Pat's make the trip across the channel to play with the big boys?! Don't know if they could afford the ferry tickets for every member of the club then there is the question of the coach fare to the ground. Might not be feasible.

Would love to see Celtic and Rangers in the EPSL much to the horror of the Scottish faithful. At the end of the day they are the only two teams in the league which have the dough to be competative and their pool of money would rival English teams give the currency is pegged at the same rate.
As for Renaldo winning player of the year I think that is just silly...he never plays and while he is amazing there are more effective people playing...you know like people who play more than 6 games a year.

It all has to do ultimately with the Giants' lack of strength in the prototypical "power" positions, like first base. I mean, we all know Snow's glove is beyond reproach, but in the past several years, he's appeared to slow down on his swing. With the loss of Sanders' pop and likely departure of MVP caliber Jeff Kent at second, things don't look pretty for 2003. Granted, I have been a big fan of Edgardo Alfonso, whom the Giants recently added to their roster, and Marquis Grissom seems to be improving with age. These two players can certainly help. Rich Aurelia's bat will likely be back more in the form of his 2000 success. However, I still see their 2003 lineup as weaker than 2002's. It will be an uphill battle and difficult to make a run at even the wildcard slot.

What a crazy match! I could not believe what I was watching. Did you catch the match on tele? I think that Mr. Gerrard is back. He looked awful during the first half, but really impressed me during the second. Murphy looks fantastic still. How about the draw? I thought that United and Liverpool were going to meet in the semi's. Do you welcome Dwight and Andy back to Old Trafford with open arms? Talk to you again in a bit. When is the first leg?
Oh yeah, Zanni, you are super. Don't let anyone get you down, regardless of who they are. I will do more cheering up in a moment. I am tutoring at the moment. Well, not at the immediate moment as I am typing this, but I really will be in a second. Now I am! See ya.

A little out of the loop with my recent brush with ebola. Saw Liverpool and Arsenal drew last week because of a questionable penalty in the box late in the game. I'll take it though because it was my side which got the break!
As for ManU loosing two in a row when was this? Last I heard they were on a tear... have these matches been since Xmas?
Baz, Do you have an upto date football site you would recommend so I am not behind the times?

or - with added humour

as for the gunners this weekend - lucky. as for liverpool - yikes! its all getting a bit too familiar unfortunately. houllier needs to buy now! get duff and sell smicer. as for arsenal - any buys would be a bad idea imho because of the consistency they show. feckers! cheers

I know that Farnborough are! I think it is becoming a little too obvious that the smaller clubs have no interest in actually winning the cup but rather the chance to draw a big club and make some quick cash. All-in-all it seems to make for an interesting bunch of fixtures. Who will be the giant killer? Hey Baz, I might be home in July or August. We must meet for a pint or two or three or four.... Hope all is well. The forum is getting crazy. Just noticed that DaveN has had to play detective, police and judge. Good for him though. Bunch of lifeless assholes impersonating different people.

Hmmmmm, good question. I think that there are going to be a few players being paid to sit on their arses soon. Now Owen is hurt again. Always seems he gets hurt when the going gets tough. I have heard rumours of impending signings. Although I agree with Baz that Duff should have been signed when the opportunity arose a few months back. Now I hear that the Basle striker Hakim (sp?) might be joining. As for Souness, I am not convinced about how the fans feel, I think he has the intelligence just not the timing.

Wasn't too shrewd against us in the UEFA! Saying that it was men against boys (should that be bhoys?) after the first leg was always going to be a bad move. |
