Well I have some good news for our folks across the pond. It would seem that FB&TC will be making their way to Europe next fall. This is the only detail I know of...which month, I don't know. Where? No clue. How long? Beats me. But you can look forward to next fall and cross your fingers that he'll come to a city near you.

Fall?? Fall?? Fall like "in one year"?? What the fuck? And you're trying to pretend it's good news?

At least it is next year - someone else said that they might not come to Europe until 2004. But God, it seems like a long time |

Someone said he was doing Florida in March too...does this mean he's just doing the east coast all over again? That would be wild!

Frank always does that. He tours the east coast / MIDWEST (it's not just a fantasy land, people, it's a real live place!), then he gives it a three or four month break, then tours the ec / mw again. Usually he only includes St. Louis on his second leg, which really sucks, because that's practically the only place I'm able to see him at.

I can't imagine Frank Black forgetting Europe until next fall. Generally, he likes touring the Europe in the next spring of his latest release, and then go for festivals across Europe in summer. Last time I saw him was in Montreal in 2001, my best FB concert, the audience was fantastic, f***in' faithful fans!!! Now, I'm already saving money to see him here in the UK, and I hope so, back to France, plus Germany. Isn't Black Letter Days his best album ever? Must be outstanding LIVE! |

thatd be sweet if he hit philly again in march, although im not gonna act like i deserve to see him again when all these people havent seen him a first time thisyear. i thought i heard the new album was coming out in march so it would make sense if he toured again. hopefully more instores! they ruled.

What? Another album coming?? I'm still listening every single day to Devil's Workshop's Out Of State, San Antonio TX, The Scene, Whiskey In Your Shoes... The band's mobile recording studio is a benediction, and Frank Black the best prolific amazing songwriter on Earth!!! |

If he plays Europe next autumn then that will be cool as I might return back to England for it.... good news for me, back news for impatient Europeans (and I don't blame them).
The new albums are slowly creeping up my personal 'Best Frank Black album' ladder.... |

Yes, the Czar of Subbacultcha will be in Europe soon. He should never forget all his fans here who have been following him for years!!! Yeah, we're not as lucky as fans from the US, but I know he's fond of our french culture and audience... so he should visit us at least once a year... And if he didn't, well... I'd just pour whiskey in my shoes...
Wesh!!! |

I hope he's coming to Belgium... I don't feel like travelling to France or Germany or whatever to see him. I might do it if I have to, but I hope it won't be necessary.

Fallus - you're a Belgian? I saw FB twice in the Botanique, Brussels (1999 and 2001). The show in March 2001 was the abolute best I've ever been to - coolest Rock'n'Roll in the planet.
Did you go to either shows? Or to the breeders concert there?
I will probably be in Belgium in the beginning of Feburary, I hope to catch the Van Morrison concerts. Last good show I saw was in mid 2002, Bob Dylan in Brussels and Paris. I WANT ROCK'N'ROLL, maaaaannn!

I don't go to a lot of shows (about 3 per year, and a festival or two, and I do about 2 shows per year myself, very small club things), and, saddly, have never seen FB live. I just got into his stuff a few months back. I have been a Pixies-fan since I was 16 (22 now) and heard COR when it was released but was a bit disapointed (I love that album now, I guess I was just expecting The Pixies, shame on me). I didn't even know he had other solo albums untill a while back, can you imagine? I now have 5 of them, so still 3 to discover. Lucky me.
Where are you from? If you're in Belgium in february, I have a gig 28 february. Still have to write all my songs though, because I don't like my old stuff anymore. But I think I will have to use them anyway, I can't write an hour of material in 2 months.
