I'd like to see FB&C go into a more acoustic-Beatlesque direction, sort of like the beginning of Chip Away Boy. Something akin to the Elliott Smith sound. Anyone agree? |

Or a combination between surf guitars and pedal steels

billgoodman,
The pedal steel is the shit and then to mix that with surf would be great...would like to see that direction.

i think should fire his band, get a 6 string fretless carl thompson bass, and start a mr.bungle cover band.
that would be cool. |

I'm waiting for him to make good on the anthropoligically(sp?) correct 50's pop album. That, or a split 7" w/ TMBG doing 96 Tears/Surfin' Bird/60's garage rock songs. love, Johnny |

I'd like to hear a new album of old Frank Black songs--covered by Frank Black and the Catholics. (Has anyone downloaded the ftp of "Fiddle Riddle" off this site? It's like a whole other song!) Maybe they could re-compose the whole Teenager album in a completely different style. Love it like it is...but, the steel guitar, rootsy version would be very cool too. |
