| I noticed something very strange on my computer recently. I haven't had a firewall installed for a while, and I noticed that if I right-click on the "My Computer" icon, to display it's properties, where it used to say "Registered to: Chris Logsdon" it now says "Registered to: Not you, not anymore." This kind of freaks me out because it seems as though someone has remote access to my computer. In this scenario, what would my best course of action be? Might the person have continued access to my computer? |

Also run Ad Aware and/or Spybot Search and Destroy.
If you still think your system is compromised, reinstall Windows, and keep your computer secure from now on! |

yes it's probable and it sounds like a trojan virus.the best way to get rid of it is to format your hd.if you can't do that,try the ones that vis.sas suggested and get "pest patrol" or some other anti trojan program.i must say that no anti-trojan is 100% accurate so you may have problems even doing the most rigorous scans.a good firewall is suggested too.at least you could block all unwanted activity if you can't eliminate it.
