Picked up a pair of calgary tix.... the website was very responsive for the first 3 minutes, then it was saying pairs were sold out for another minute, and now its giving the 'access to ticketing system limited' error.
Thats how long it took :)

Got 4 online right around 10AM local- checked at 10:05 and saying nothing is available. INSANITY! Based on limited discussions on this forum re: Calgary I didn't expect it to sell out so fast... |

I get them same thing. Which is interesting, considering that as far as I can tell Boise tickets are still available. 300 of the Boise tickets were sold yesterday, too. |

I'm glad the site was not bogged down from the get go. Since ticket sales are staggered throughout the day tomorrow, things should be smooth for at least a 2 minute window. When you think about it, thats more than enough time for someone camped at the computer :)

So...when did you all find out they were on sale today? I found out today at 2:00 PM...a little late, eh? |

Wow, there's only one auction for Calgary tickets up now. Hopefully that means that most of the tickets went to fans and not scalpers.

The sale times were posted on the news section of this site earlier this week :)
I just got off the phone with a customer service person at TM, and when I told her I had Pixies tickets she was surprised. Apparently they sold out in THREE MINUTES.
Which begs the question of why the other two shows took up to half an hour to sell out. Hopefully it isn't because Ticketmaster (which only offered the Calgary tickets, not the others) is a haven for scalpers... |

WOW- 3 minutes. That has to be some kind of record! Apparently Mac Hall has a capacity of 1800 (according to the University Newspaper). Apparently the Commodore in Vancouver has a capacity of about 1000. How fast will Vancouver go tomorrow??? |

"The sale times were posted on the news section of this site earlier this week :)"
So they were...I just read the headline "Most Canadian dates will start selling between 9:30 and 10am local time on Saturday, February 21st", then checked out Ticketmonster, and there wasn't even a Calgary show listed, so I figured the ticket date for that show hasn't been announced yet.
Ya, kind of sucks, Mac Hall Ballroom. Sure, good venue, if you get tickets! 1800...phhh. Anyways, enjoy the show! :) |

I also kept getting the "'access to ticketing system limited' error" so as a backup plan I had ticketmaster on the phone. But I had to talk in my mom's voice (I'm a guy) because I used her credit card and you must be the credit card owner to book over the phone. I kept forgetting and using my own voice. I think they thought I was in the middle of a sex change. |
