I know I've seen it before in various places on the internet, but I've finally gotten around to making a disc of the original order of songs. But now I can't find that jpg that shows the Side 1 and Side 2 to the Purple Tape. I'm pretty sure it started off with Levitate Me. Does anybody have that list somewhere?

That sounds close to me. Thank you very much. Though you sound somewhat unsure of yourself on that order. But beggars can't be choosers. Right? Thanks again.

I think Ivo Watts really took the best songs on the purple tape to make come on prilgrim. He certainly knew what he was doing.
Can't imagine that any humanbeing wouldn't choose Here Comes Your Man or Subbacultcha, but I like the later versions better, so kudos Ivo!

True perhaps, but I think it ruins the continuity of the idea of Five holy, pristine Pixies albums. _Come On Pilgrim_ is just too damn short to have that Pixies LP feel. Because Ivo didn't take the plunge and put out the whole thing, the first album is now a wierd consortium of 4ad's _Come On Pilgrim_ and Spinart's _Pixies_. And both of those mastering's sound Waaaay too differnet to make a cohesive mixtape. So the first true Pixies album, _Purpletape_, won't be getting a proper, evenly-mixed CD release until some massive conglomerate comes along, buys out both record labels, and then gets around to a special fanfuck release of what truly makes up Pixies Album No. 1.
Look in stores for Universal's newest rerelease, _Purple Pilgrim_! Projected release date: Spring 2089. Soon!
that's a good point, but a whole other discussion.

if you saw the "gouge" documentary, when they talk about the purple tape, they briefly show a close up of what I assumed to be a copy of an original purple tape, featuring the track listing. I was going to burn myself an uber-fan copy of it using the aforementioned discs, but I don't have the video with me at the moment. I'll check it when I get home and post it if its different than the one above.

Yeah, that is what I was looking for. I know "Gouge" showed a close up and I had seen some stills of that cassette posted somewhere on a web site, but couldn't find it. Thanks much, langdonboom.
