My sister is going...what the fuck? She doesn't even like The Pixies, she likes shit like Better than Ezra and Justin Timberlake. Apparently she "likes Radiohead and the Cure." Her boyfriend, the ex-drummer of the Bennies (ugh, long story) is the music lover...I guess they're taking a trip out there.

Can anybody bring twin cute sisters?
I bought a ticket for Saturday only. Do any locals post here that could put a Pixies related tour of the LA together for us? Like maybe, Frank's old house, the El Bario were the Breeders rehearsed Title TK, San Andreas Fault, The Bradbury building... you get the idea.

| Best place around here to see the San Andreas fault is Devil's Punchbowl. It's also not too far from the ruins of Llano del Rio. Pearblossom Highway (route 138) is right there-- it goes right up the San Andreas Rift Zone. |

how much time you got to spend in LA Picapiedra?
it's too bad Uptown Taco is now defunct. off of Chauenga and Barham. that used to sort of be the Frank Black holy grail. for me and my friends anyway..
he mentioned it in an interview once so we checked it out. fucking excellent excellent Mexican food. AND, believe it or not, they had a framed, signed, 8 x 10 of the man in there. apparantly he was a regular. (Johnny Angel actually mentioned it in the DIY Convention interview, amusingly enough)
now it's some ass vegetarian place. the health conscious are ruining the world.
anyway, i don't know about you guys but i'll likely be found at Agua Caliente Casino after the Pixies show doing some excessive gambling and drinking. no Pixies lore there, but there is alcohol and gambling.
this is a cool idea though.. aside from Frank's old house (that's pushing it a bit) it would be cool to make a Frank-themed tourguide. if anything, you could drive by some of the studios where he's recorded his albums and try to channel some of the magic through osmosis.. |

I'm not sure of my schedule yet. I'm sure that using airmiles will restict the dates that I can fly in and out. At least one friend is coming with me so far.
Yeah, I didn't really think that we'd go to Frank's old house anyways.
