There are 0 shows on the east coast. I feel cheated. I cancled pre-orders for video games to buy tickets and now I may never get to buy a pair.
Is there any talk for a post-europe tour of the east coast? If not I'm so pissed. |

Minus Coachella, they're not hitting any big markets as far as I can see. Don't you understand? This pretty much guarantees us people in the midwest and on the east coast a Real(tm) tour after they're done playing every single festival ever over in Europe.
Especially if they're doing it just for the money. Hehe. |

I hope you're right. I just have this feeling that the pixies are gonna want to have a quick tour and then end it.
They just don't seem like they'd go to the extreme of having a huge North American Tour. NY has to be in the cards though. That would seem almost ridiculous if THE PIXIES got back together and didnt come dazzle the yuppie fucks in New York.

| 547 miles from here to winnipeg, that would rock to see the first show on the tour though. Midwest tour, hit chicago, milwaukee or madison and minneapolis a few times. Please. |

I cannot believe the Pixies are fucking their hometown with a sandpaper condom!!!
Boston set the stage for them and now years later the Pixies cater to the West coast yuppies and the Europeans. The Europeans like their music but they are still stupid Americans!
Oh well, I always enjoyed FB&C more than the Pixies anyways.
I don't need to see the Pixies perform again (been there done that)
I mean honestly, how much drumming do you think Lovering has done? He cut up his damn bass drum to do scientific experiments!!!!!!
Fellow midwesterners and east coasters - I don't thik we'll be missing much!! |

I doubt they'll play Fenway. First of all I don't think they'll fill all the seats by themselves and secondly I believe that Springsteen was the first to play there in AGES and it was a really big deal a little while ago. I don't see the Pixies following up this coveted arena.

| Well they sold 4 Brixton shows. So figure 4.500 * 4 = 18,000 People. Fenway can hold 32,000. However maybe 10,000 wouldn't be offered to the concert due to some thing or other. That leaves 22,000 seats that by the looks of it can easily be filled. |

| I feel the same way, I don't have a problem waiting, but i wish there was something definate to wait for. If we could just have a "we'll be hitting the Eastcoast, Southeast, Midwest, when we get back from Europa", I think that would calm a bunch of fears. Because right now, i expect the whole thing to implode agian due to the the pressures of the road/egos, before the group makes it back to the U.S. |

You're being generous. You know that they aren't that nice. They're actually fucking the entire east in the ass with a shattered glass condom with the tip removed. They have STD's and take advantage of any chance they have to spread them (RHCP).

Just a thought, but I think our forum's nay sayers are jumping to a lot of conclusions here. It seems as though just because Frank Black isn't catering his career to the liking of each individual fan, all of a sudden the Pixies are a bunch of assholes. What kind of logic is that? Saying that the Pixies would ignore the East coast (which they haven't; it just isn't announced yet.) would lead me to believe that not much thought had been put into such statements. I'd hate to be a new person to this forum and look at this thread first. It's just not fair to them.
Furthermore, it sounds as though some people feel like Frank Black OWES us his music and everything he's doing with his career. We're all lucky to be given everything we have. If he wants to do something different, he's earned it. The whole band's earned it. All I'm saying is that people should for once give them the benefit of the doubt and settle down. I'm not the type of person to wag my finger at things, but sometimes a finger needs to be wagged. As I step off my soap box let me just say that I'm glad so many people are so passionate about these guys. I'm privileged to be part of something this cool.
P.S. I know I'll be flying out to Boston to see them when they play there.

Yeah, I really don't think you'll need to worry about it. They'll get there. They'll announce the rest of the tour. It would be completely pointless to do a "warm up" tour and then take a month off. We'll be seeing a lot of more dates.

I don't think the argument was so much centered towards Winnipeg being less important. It's just that Boston and the general East coast was where the Pixies got their start. I understand the general idea that they should be playing there. And they will. It's all a matter of time.
